José Gamero-Georgeson for State Central Committee & Congressional District 3 Delegate

Candidate Statement

My name is José Gamero-Georgeson and I am running to represent Multnomah County as a State Central Committee and Congressional District 3 Delegate. 

I am here and I am involved, because I know it is important to be. My whole life changed, because of one decision by the Supreme Court. After that decision made my marriage to my husband equal, a whole new world opened up to me. Now, almost ten years after that landmark case, I am a citizen and a father. If the current Supreme Court was hearing that same case, who knows if I would even be a citizen yet.

I work hard to ensure that we have the right people in positions that will hopefully make decisions with all of us in mind. I have worked on campaigns at almost every level, from school board to state representative to Presidential. All those campaigns shared the Democratic values that we need to help protect our rights.

I have learned that I can’t only work behind the scenes, but must step up, too. I now sit on the David Douglas School Board, and I am one of three elected regional representatives to the Board Directors for Oregon School Board Association. I am involved in many different ways with the MultDems and the Democratic Party of Oregon, most are listed below.
